How to obtain your unit's IP address for remote configuration
There are several ways to obtain your IP address.
A) With a DHCP server available on the network:
The IP address can either be obtained by looking at the DHCP server for what address the SecurStor XRS unit 'pulled' or from the LCD panel.
The LCD panel displays the IP address which is currently set on the XRS. The IP address can be changed through the LCD of the unit using the instructions below:
1. Press & Hold the ENT (enter) button until it prompts for the password.
2. Using the UP/DOWN arrows, browse to each letter of your password (the default is admin (all lower case) unless it has been changed). Be sure to press ENT after each letter and then hold the ENT button after the password is completed on the screen.
3. Once the Main menu is accessed, it will show 'Quick Volume and RAID Setup'
4. From the 'Quick Volume and RAID Setup' scroll DOWN to 'EtherNet Configuration', press ENT. This will show whether DHCP is enabled or not. By default, DHCP is enabled.
If it is not enabled and you want to enable it:
4a. Press ENT at the 'DHCP Function Disabled'.
4b. Arrow Up/DOWN to choose 'Enabled', press ENT.
4c. At the Confirmation screen, press ENT to confirm.
